Two to three times a week I babysit a three year old boy named Jack. He calls me "Miss Molly" and over the past few weeks we've really begun to understand one another... he understands that I'm not a push over, and I understand that although he can sometimes be quite the rapscallion, he is definitely a very sweet and funny kid. The other day I discovered that he had "Blueberries for Sal" in his book collection... I, of course, immediately took it upon myself to read it to him and then at the end I pointed to a map to show him where Maine and Boston are in relation to Florida.
I said, "you live here... and I live there"
He pointed to North No Man's Land Canada and said, "who lives there?" and I said,
"Probably mountain men"
And he sighed and said, "Oh... I just love it there"
So I was like, "you love Canada? Do you love their mild mannered optimism?"
"Ya..."
"And their Universal Health Care?"
"Ya!"
"Okay"
it was awesome. I've highlighted where we were pointing to on the map below... you'll find North No Man's Land Canada has been highlighted in a light teal.
