My friends and I came up with a formula for the perfect way to name a kitten or cat.
We slaved over graphing paper, pie charts, chalkboards, beakers and bunsen burners... it was rough work, but someone had to do it.
Without further ado, the equation:
PROFESSIONAL OR FORMAL TITLE + CAT BODY PART + NONSENSE WORD OR CANDY NAME = KITTEN NAME
Here, I'll break it down for you:
Professor + Whiskers + Snickerdoodle = Professor Whiskers Snickerdoodle
Adorable, right?
What about...
Lord + Swishy Tail + Jujubees = Lord Swishy Tail Jujubees
And this is just the basic formula... once you've been making up enough kitten names, you start to get a little more creative. For example, one of our scientists came up with "Duke Lilywhiskers of Birminhampshire" (pictured below).
Recent studies suggest that cats named using the Kitten Name Generator produce more agreeable feline companions, cleaner litterboxes, and a 95% increase in adorable antics compared to cats named by using any other method.
